recent work // gender announcement

We received a sweet request from Lauren. Her and her husband are expecting a baby, and they were hoping to have a custom letterpress card to announce their baby’s gender. A card that they could hand to the sonogram technician to fill out and then seal up. A card that they could open up Christmas morning and read their surprise gender news. A card that was handmade and could be a keepsake for their child’s baby book.

We turned to this classic nursery rhyme for inspiration and created a little card that could be checked off, tucked into a baby envelope and then sealed until Christmas morning. We love how it turned out. Congrats again, Lauren!

    Dear Julie and Kacey,

We are writing to say another quick “thank you” for creating our beautiful surprise gender announcement that we opened for Christmas. The card helped make the moment even more special because we will be able to share with our baby how we found out that he would be a boy! The announcement is so beautiful and creative that we smile each time we look at it.

    Thanks again,

    Lauren and Nate
