Sunday, we drove out to the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch early in the morning. It was our first time there and it was a very neat experience. The Wildlife Ranch is a drive through African safari experience in the Texas Hill Country. It’s 450+ acres where the animals roam freely. The price of admission comes with food so you can feed the animals outside of your car window! It was misty and foggy and so peaceful. Hard to believe it’s only about an hour or so from Austin!

How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun for St. Patrick’s Day?

Our second day in Denver was technically a half day as we flew out that day. However, we were still able to pack in a little Colorado goodness before we left. After breakfast at Snooze, we checked out the Denver Art Museum.

Then, after lunch at Duffy’s Cherry Cricket, we drove out to Golden, Colorado. We stopped at Lookout Mountain and went to the Buffalo Bill Museum.

Then we drove down to the Coors factory. All in all, we had a great Denver trip!

Previously – our itinerary / day one

Way back in 2014 [I know, forever ago!] Kacey and I took a super quick trip to Denver, Colorado. How quick? We had a day and a half there, and it was our first time visiting. I want to share what we did, what we ate, and what all we saw in our day and a half in Denver!

We arrived late on a Friday night, hopped in our rental car, grabbed a quick bite to eat near our hotel and then went to sleep so we could wake rested on Saturday. That Saturday morning, we drove out to the Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre. I was surprised to see how much of a workout mecca it was. Lots of people climbing the stairs and doing workout routines on the benches. Definitely a beautiful place to exercise as the views from up top were spectacular!

Afterwards, we drove out to the Molly Brown House Museum, followed by lunch at Wynkoop Brewing Company. Their burgers were tasty!

After lunch, we drove to the Denver Convention Center where we spotted the famous Blue Bear.

Then, we took off to walk around Larimer Square where the Denver Chalk Art Festival was happening. I couldn’t believe how amazing the artwork was. And that it was all made of chalk! Serious talent.

We had cocktails at The Squeaky Bean and decided to hit up a Speakeasy for dinner. There was quite the wait at Williams & Graham so while waiting we checked out Little Man Ice Cream. The line was really long so we walked around until our reservations were ready.

Williams & Graham was such a unique place. I don’t want to spoil the surprise, so let’s just say it seemed like we were in the wrong place when we arrived! With a little trickery, we were seated in a cozy room for drinks and dinner. And while I can’t remember all that we ordered, I still think of the Roasted Bone Marrow that we had that night!! Oh so good + decadent! Kacey got to try a few rare scotches that were on his list. So, that was a highlight, too!

So, this happened last week. Em’s third trip to Disney World. I’m working on a few posts about our whirlwind trip including a what-to-pack-when-flying-with-a-toddler-to-Disney list.

Sunday, we took a little day trip to Wimberly, Texas. Em did a sweet fairytale photo shoot there. We browsed the quaint shops and watch the ducks by the creek. It was such a charming little town!

The Harmony Barber shop at Magic Kingdom isn’t just for show. It’s a real, old-timey barbershop and they offer first haircuts full of Disney magic. I booked an appointment for Em before we left for our vacation.

For her first time, Em did great! Of course the slew of Mickey stickers and the spinning, light-up Minnie they let her play with helped, too! She was quite entertained.

Before I could blink, Em’s haircut was done and she was topped off with her very own set of Mickey ears – her first! On the back of them, “My 1st Haircut” is embroidered.

We were also given a commemorative first haircut certificate and a special little bag full of pixie dust and locks from her first haircut.

This was such a great + fun experience. I’m glad we were able to celebrate it in Disney!

This was Em’s second trip to Disney as we went there last winter with Kacey’s family. This year, we went with our good friends and their three kiddos.

We had such a fantastic time! We met the characters. Rode lots of rides including the tea cups.

We dined at Cinderella’s castle and met all of the princesses.

And we enjoyed a part of a new section they just opened in Fantasyland where’s there are now two Dumbo rides!

This is so great because there was always a long line for Dumbo – one of Em’s favorite rides. This trip, I think we rode it four times!

and really enjoyed watching the meerkats.
