recent work // house sketches

house_sketches

between graduation announcements, custom business cards, baby announcements and moving announcements, we’ve been quite busy in our little studio. above are house sketch moving announcements we recently completed for a couple of clients. like i’ve mentioned before, i really enjoy going back to the basics and taking pencil to paper to create these custom sketches, and i love how they turned out.

olive juice

thanks to my sister-in-law and my good friend who both had baby girls about the same time ours will be born, we’ve been given lots of super cute hand me downs. we’re so fortunate, and our little one is pretty much set. and even though we haven’t bought a lick of clothes so far, i’ve done lots of window shopping and online browsing. i can’t help it. i mean, there’s just so many cute things out there like these dresses from olive juice. classic + darling!

janie and jack

how cute is this summer getup from janie and jack? super cute. i was so tempted to buy at least the swimsuit yesterday. i could just picture our little girl in this ruched rosette beauty splashing in the water at the lake house.

recent work // every last detail

eld_back_800

we wanted to share with you recent business cards that we designed + letterpress printed for lauren of every last detail. the back has a faux blind impression. in order to actually see the beautiful damask pattern, we used a very, very pale gray ink. using a touch of color visually separates the pattern from the background. we love how these turned out and really enjoyed working with lauren.

weekend fun

whew, what a weekend! our good friends threw us a couples baby shower saturday and it was so lovely! see those cupcakes? those are handmade little fondant booties on top. so cute. this weekend was also filled with mardi gras celebration and fun + valentine’s day.

how was your weekend? do anything fun and exciting? or simply romantic and love filled?

happy heart weekend

we’re off a bit early today to get a jump start on the weekend. lots of celebrating and excitement all around. a baby-to-be, mardi gras + valentine’s day.

hope you have a lovely + heart-filled weekend!  |  image via ffffound

covered in snow

my good friend in d.c. sent over these pictures of his neighborhood covered in snow. these were taken a couple of days ago after some areas got 25 inches. i’m pretty sure they’ve gotten more since then. in the last picture, those humps are actually cars buried under snow.

being a southerner, i’ve really never seen snow. especially snow like this. i remember once when i was probably 5 years old we had snow flurries during the night, but by the time i woke up, it was nearly all gone. my sweet grandmother had gone out and made a miniature snowman and stuck it in the freezer so that i could see it when i woke up. i remember taking a picture with it and i was all bundled up my thick pink jacket and rubber boots. boy, i can’t imagine living in a place that sees snow every year.

especially blizzards like this!
