yulia brodskaya

i saw this on paper crave and just had to share it with you! it’s the 2009 neiman marcus christmas book. known for featuring lavish + luxurious chirstmas gifts, this year’s cover design showcases beautiful paper quilling. paper quilling is the art of rolling and shaping pieces of paper to create intricate, three-dimensional designs.

the book’s paper quilling was done by the very talented yulia brodskaya. below are more of her quilling creations from her portfolio.

noël tags

we’ve just updated the shop with the first item from our holiday collection. these noël tags are quite handy to have around. they’re perfect for gift tags or favor tags for your holiday gatherings. enjoy!

new in the shop

recently, we received a request for our merci tags to be paired with envelopes instead of clothespins. we loved the idea so much, we’ve decided to include them in our shop! a little bit larger than the original, these merci tags include cute little glassine envelopes. enjoy!

baby nursery

also on my mind now is nurseries. i remember a while back this beautiful nursery was all a buzz on the blogs. it took me a while to track it down, and i’m so happy i found it. it was featured on cookiemag.com, and i just love how sophisticated and sightly unexpected the room is. it’s now been stashed in my inspiration folder.

Gender Reveal Party

now that we’re expecting, my radar seems to be focusing on all things baby. i saw this gender reveal party on hostess with the mostess and just went gaga over it! the expecting couple hosted a party inviting their friends and family and asked them to show up in either pink or blue depending on what they thought the couple was having. the big reveal was concealed inside cupcakes the hosts offered to the guests. on the count of three, everyone bit inside and discovered a blue gumball revealing they were having a baby boy. what an incredible idea!

even though we don’t live near family, in my head i’m still trying to finagle a way to do something similar. some fun way to reveal the news.

boxed halloween invites

have you seen the fabulous halloween invites that mrs. limestone designed and sent out? she has an annual halloween party, and every year i look forward to seeing her invites + decorations. she always has such great ideas!

baby bump announcements

our baby bump announcements were actually quite a project. we didn’t just send out one standard card. instead, each card was individually designed for the recipient. it’s not the smartest use of letterpress printing, but once i got the idea in my head [during one of my many sleepless nights, thanks pregnancy!] i just had to pursue it.

since posting the news, we’ve been overwhelmed with warmth + support from you guys. thank you all so much for the well wishes and words of congratulations.
