little max

We just wrapped up one of my favorite jobs to date. Announcement cards for little Max who was born just a few short weeks ago. We printed them on Crane’s Pearl White paper, which is a soft white, and used a pale blue ink. We printed his little picture on photo paper, die-cut it and individually glued it onto each letterpress card. It’s such a sweet little card for such a sweet little boy! Thanks Lauren for letting us work on this special project.

blue weekend

Kacey and I had a very busy weekend. In between fun stuff like Christmas parties, we printed a few new goodies involving lots of blue ink.

ink in tubes

Our inks are in! Our inks are in! I know, kinda silly to be shouting right? But, when someone lovingly handsets type for each label and box and prints them on an antique 1920s Multigraph, well, I think celebrating is totally called for. When purchasing our inks, we turned to Dave [the ink in tubes guy]. We wanted to a varitey of ink colors but didn’t neccessarily need such a large quantity of each. As a little side job, Dave takes ink from larger cans and fills smaller tubes with it. It was exactly what we were looking for. This allowed us to get 14 colors and not spend a fortune or take up a ton of room.
