A couple of months ago, Kacey, Em, my cousin and I took a little day trip to Gruene, Texas. Kacey and I have been before but that was pre-Em and my cousin had never been. I knew my cousin would love the quaint, historical town so off we went.

We stopped in at Got Toys. Em loved it, of course.

We also wandered around The Gruene Antique Company where I spotted these adorable leather baby shoes. Too bad they were too small for Em.

We also discovered this old bank vault in one of the rooms in the antique store. It’s Gruene’s original bank vault fitted with a decorative cast iron door. I don’t know how we missed it the times we’d visited before.

I love having such interesting towns nearby!

We celebrated the Fourth with a local parade followed by a very yummy lunch with Kacey’s brother + sister-in-law. Hope your Fourth was fun!

Here’s another custom house sketch we recently completed. However, this time instead of moving announcements, we created a 5″ x 7″ letterpress print that’s perfect for framing + displaying.
We recently designed + letterpress printed these birth announcements for a sweet little boy named Walt.

The announcement included his footprint that was letterpress printed to scale in a soft, baby blue ink.

Matching baby blue + white twine bound the announcement to his beautiful newborn picture.

Congratulations Kristin + Will. He’s absolutely adorable!

We recently completed these custom house sketch moving announcements and a 5″ x 7″ letterpress print that’s perfect for framing. Congrats Matthew + Jennifer on your new home!

This weekend we took an extended weekend trip to visit Em’s great grandmother in Oklahoma. There, Em experienced lots of firsts. Her first real tea party with real tea out of a porcelain tea set. She also made her first mud pies and played baseball for the first time. Can you believe she even hit a ball tossed at her – all by herself?
How was your weekend?

A friend of mine introduced me to Romp. They sell loads of super cute toys for kiddos. I fell hard for these cameras that they carry.
1 – wooden camera // 2 – kaleidoscope cameras // 3 – eye spy camera
