Baby announcements we recently designed + letterpress printed for a client who had twins. I love how the baby girl and baby boy both got their own individual announcement.

We receive requests to sketch all sorts of dwellings, not just stand alone homes. From apartments to brownstones to duplexes. This is one such request we recently completed. A lovely row house. In order for the focus to be on the proper side, we created all of the detail on that side. We also took advantage of the large tree and camouflaged the side that wasn’t theirs. I really, really love how it turned out!
Despite the unbearable heat outside, we’ve already begun working on Christmas card orders! Above are house-proud Christmas cards we recently sketched + letterpress printed.
At a garage sale this past Saturday, I bought Em her first pair of ballet shoes. They’re a little big now but they’ll be perfect for when she’ll start classes in a few years. Costing only a quarter, I couldn’t pass them up!
The new rollers for our second Pearl came in! We’re one step closer to getting it up and running. We’ve got two parts to get fabricated so that we can convert it from a motorized press to a pedal-operated one and feeder boards to make. That’s it!
Just about every evening after we put Em to bed, Kacey and I go outside and sit on our swing. Most evenings there’s a nice breeze. And with the sun no longer blazing overhead, the weather is quite enjoyable. This sunset is what greeted us when we went outside yesterday. Isn’t nature stunning?
We’re on the hunt for new lighting for our office + studio. What we have now is definitely not bright enough, especially since we do so much printing at night. We need something that will provide lots of light – either with multiple bulbs or have a clear cover. I’d also really like a fixture with a vintage + industrial look, too. Here are a few that have caught my eye.
Have you seen these? They’re pancakes, and they’re incredibly creative + awesome!
