spooled candles

i always find something i love at anthro. sometimes it’s something crazy expensive. other times, the price shocks me because it’s pretty darn affordable. today, it’s these spooled candles. and yes, they’re affordable.

house sketch

a recent project we worked on. custom house sketch, turned letterpress printed moving announcement. this is one of our most requested items!

holiday postage

i always look forward to seeing the new holiday stamps that come out each year. and, while checking to see if usps had any postage stamps that would work on our halloween invites, i spotted this year’s offerings. i really like them! you can pre-order them here and here. oh, and it looks like the evergreens stamp is a forever stamp, meaning we finally have something besides the liberty bell that will be valid even if stamp prices go up.

halloween invites 2010

i look forward to the beginning of october when i can break out the spiders, webs, pumpkins and crows in preparation for our annual halloween bash. i also look forward to designing, printing + sending out the invites for our party. the idea for this year’s invitation? vampire’s bite of approval. i stuffed each invite into an envelope and hand punched it twice making faux bite marks go through and through. kacey wanted it to look more gruesome with fake blood smudged all about, but i preferred a cleaner look. so, we compromised with blood red ink. i love how they turned out, and i hope our guests do too!

around the studio

we’ve been hecka busy in the studio lately. we’ve got several design + printing projects we are working hard on. plus, holiday orders are in full swing. and, we have some secret, hush hush stuff going on behind the scenes, too. i can’t wait to share the hush hush stuff with you guys, but it may be a couple of weeks before we can. in the meantime, it’s going to be so tough not to spill the beans!

hope you have a fabulous weekend!

watercolor pillows

these watercolor pillows just stopped me in my tracks. they’re so pretty and would inject such color + freshness into our living room. they’ve just been added to my wish list.

Dinner Concert Poster Series

these posters are so great. they’re designed by shauna mae for a dinner concert series that mingled food, wine and folk music. i love the simplicity and the color palette. brilliant. check them out larger here.  //  via Design work life

zulily

i’ve added zulily to my list of baby/children/mommy bargain sites. it’s my absolute favorite. i check it every single day. today, i scooped up these vive la fete smocked dresses for em to wear next year. super cute and half off. love.

thanks for all of the birthday wishes! i had a wonderful and relaxing weekend at the lake house celebrating with family + friends.
