A few things I’ve been eyeing for our office. We already have this paint color on the walls. Plus, lots of white office pieces – mostly from Ikea.

our christmas tree // 2012

Now that Em is 2.5 years old, we figured it was time for us to finally get a full size Christmas tree to replace our little faux tabletop one. After much looking around, we decided on a faux tree from Balsam Hill but there are so many types of trees to choose from! We decided to order the branch sample kit to get a better idea of what we liked. Their Norway White Spruce was the winner for us.

The tree arrived in two huge four foot boxes [boxes that Em now plays rocket ship in] and sat in our foyer until Friday night. After Em went to sleep, we put on the Christmas music and put up the tree! The left picture is the tree the first time we put it up. We put it together and realized we were suppose to “fluff” the tree in sections. The second picture is after we took it down + fluffed it correctly. The third is after it was fluffed and decorated.

The next morning, Em got up and was thrilled with the tree and all of the decorations around the house. She spent a long time spotting the different ornaments on the tree and finding all the new Christmas things in the house. And, since it was the first day of December, she was able to open the first door in her Advent Calendar.

That’s what we did this weekend. How about you? When did/will you decorate?

birthday banner

How incredible is this handmade paper banner? Very. Kudos to Donaville of Discover Paper. I can’t wait to see the rest of the decor for her twin’s first birthday bash. I really wish I would have thought of something like this for Em’s party.

olliegraphic

Have you seen this cuteness from Olliegraphic? I first fell in love with the plates + bowls that feature a customizable kiddo. I thought they would be so cute for Em. Maybe for her upcoming birthday? Then, I noticed the Parisian vocab series of art prints. Again, they showcase a cute customizable illustration. All sorts of adorable.

gray patterns // for the home

I’m loving all the gray stripes + dots + chevrons that have been popping up lately. Especially these for the home.

stylish storage

Two stylish storage options I recently bookmarked. I’m shocked that both are from mainstream places. The first from Pottery Barn. The second from Target.

office by color

On Kikki.K’s website, you can shop for office supplies by color. Currently, our office is mostly white + kraft but oddly enough, that’s my least favorite option here. I may need to do some reorganizing + redecorating in there. Looking at this, I think white + black + blue is the way to go for me. // Click on each box above for an expanded view.

stamp rugs

I’m coveting one of these Royal Mail Stamp Rugs. They come in a variety of colors, and I think one would look smashing hung in our office.
