letterpress at pottery barn

Quite a surprise to to see letterpress at Pottery Barn.

Hope you guys have something wonderful planned for this weekend. Aside from printing, we have plans to visit Kacey’s parents. They live out on a beautiful lake, and we are very much looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend with them.

vintage style seating

How fabulous are these vintage style seating options? Very. I first spotted the Mid-century studio stool on guest bedroom post, and with a little bit of digging, I found out they are actually from Sundance. I love the lines of each of these. And they have such character.

jewelry + boxes

Kate Spade has some cute summer jewelry. But what really caught my eye was this fabulous little box the jewelry comes packaged in. I have quite a thing for tiny well made boxes. I picked up a couple in Paris. One mint green one from Ladurée. Another very tiny one from La Maison du Chocolat. This round Kate Spade box would go so nicely with those.

map dresses

Thanks to Kate Spade’s Things We Love series, I too now love these sweet dresses. They are fashioned out of maps by Elisabeth Lecourt.

vintage goodies

During our visit to Gruene, we stopped in at The Gruene Antique Company and picked up a few goodies. I love perusing antique shops, and I’m always on the lookout for cool things. I keep an eye out for anything letterpress and miniature perfume bottles.

I can’t really pinpoint when and how my miniature perfume collection got started, but I have quite a few. And, although I don’t actively collect them any longer, I saw this tiny orange Hermés box and couldn’t pass it up! When I first spotted it, I didn’t even realize it housed perfumes. It was sitting next to several other bottles that I was fixating on, and I was telling myself I didn’t need them. I picked up the tangerine box, opened it and realized what treasures it contained. Three unopened, vintage, miniature Hermés perfumes. Definitely not something you find everyday. After debating a while, I decided they should come home with me.

Then, in a little wooden box, we spotted letterpress lead type. We shifted through them for quite a while and decided these characters would make their way home with us, too.

pantone kitchen

Now you can color your kitchen with Pantone products like this canister and salt + pepper mill. Wouldn’t it be great if you could get a specific color?

irish butter

I’m a huge, huge butter fan, and I snatched this Irish butter up when I spotted it at our local market this weekend. It’s quite delish!

Reading up on Paris, I’ve come across several mentions of how good French butter is. I can’t wait to slather some on a nice baguette! Soon. Real soon.
