This weekend, Kacey gave our second Pearl a nice shiny coat of black paint. Now, all that’s left is putting it back together and moving it into our studio!
We’re so excited to share with you our new Anniversary Collection. Sold individually, each letterpress printed card has an attached mini envelope and comes with a small blank card for writing your loved one a little note.
The design is based off of the cards that I give Kacey each year on our anniversary. It’s become a tradition that I gift him an experience that’s connected to the modern + traditional anniversary gift guides. For example, year two is the gift of cotton, straw or china. That year, I played off of the cotton theme and gifted him a surprise trip to Savannah, Georgia where we stayed in the Cotton Exchange Suite at the Azalea Inn. And, we dined at the Cotton Exchange Restaurant & Tavern. You can read about his third year gift here and fourth year gift here.
I like to give him something to physically open, so I came up with this card system. I write his surprise on the little card and tuck it inside the mini envelope. He’s really enjoyed opening these cards + they’ve made nice keepsakes over the years.
So, if you’re celebrating your first-fifth anniversary, now you can purchase an anniversary card of your own in your shop. Enjoy!
Here’s a little sneak peek at something we’ve been working on in the studio. Anniversary cards. I hope to have them added to the shop very soon!
Thanks to the extended weekend, Kacey was able to do a lot of work on our second Pearl Press. He finished stripping it and applied a coat of primer. Funny, our first Pearl’s primer was a mustard color. This one is more like ketchup.
How was your holiday weekend?
Here’s another lovely custom sketch moving announcement we recently designed + letterpress printed.
Hope your holiday weekend is full of fun and a little relaxation!
You’ve seen the invitations and the wish cards. The finale? These small letterpress printed merci cards. We sent them out to thank everyone for coming to Em’s party. There were a few left over, so I’ve added them to the shop at a discounted rate. You can find them here.
In addition to the invitations, we also letterpress printed a couple of other things forĀ Em’s first birthday bash. Today, I’m sharing with you the wish cards we printed.
At the entrance of her party, we set up a wish table with pretty silver pens, these letterpress printed wish cards and a sign asking guests to leave their wishes for Em on her first birthday. In lieu of a guestbook, we did something similar at our wedding where guests left their wishes + advice for Kacey and I. In fact, these pens are the same ones guests used at our wedding. I thought the idea would work well for Em’s party plus make nice keepsakes for her memory box. After her party ended and all the guests had gone home, we really enjoyed reading everyone’s wishes for Em. It’s a tradition I hope to continue for her future birthday bashes.
