so, those cigar boxes we found at a garage sale? well, i put a few on the secretary in the foyer. i think i like them there.
these ethereal chandeliers are from designer haldane martin. they’re made from white ostrich feathers, and i think they are beyond gorgeous! they can be purchased here + see more of his lovely home here.

saturday morning, kacey, em and i went on a little adventure to see want we could find at our neighborhood garage sale. we walked away with a bag full of beautiful cigar boxes. this is just one of them. i think i’ll use them as decor. maybe place a few on the secretary in the foyer. maybe a few above our china hutch. maybe use one as jewelry box in our bedroom. who knows, but at ten cents a piece, i couldn’t pass them up and figured i find some use for them eventually.
so, how about you? how was your weekend? did you do anything fun?
can you love a chair? if so, this one has my heart. it belonged to kacey’s grandmother who so kindly gave it to us. last month, we hauled it all the way from oklahoma. it’s worn + weathered, and i love it so.
have you seen these mum wreath kits from paper source? the colors are divine! oh, i’m so ready for fall!
how was your holiday weekend? enjoyable? i hope so. kacey, em and i went to the lake house this weekend. we did a bit of relaxing. a bit of sailing. a bit of jet skiing. also, a bit of game playing. his parents bought a game called bananagrams. if you like scrabble or words with friends then you’ll love bananagrams
. and if you have a large group of people, i suggest getting two sets. that’s what they did. plus, they marked one set with a dot on each tile [see above]. that way 2 or 3 players can play with one set and not have to use all of the letters from both sets. anywho, we had a blast. now i’m just playing a little catch up. i just finished a little printing, and now i’m about to tackle my inbox.
now that em is getting bigger, i want to get a growth chart to hang in her room so that i can track + record her height. i don’t really want to get a decal since i want to be able to save it as a keepsake. here are a few that i’ve spotted and like. i absolutely love the wooden rulers, especially the center one, but i think they would be too cumbersome to store long term. have you seen any others that you love?
