sea life prints

in preparation for the baby, i think nesting is kicking in and not just in the nursery. we recently did a little revamp in our bathroom. thanks to young house love, we discovered extra long shower curtains. so, we changed out our too short one and put in this nice long white one. it looks so much better! and now that we’ve got a new shower curtain, i think it’d be nice to add a few accessories too. maybe a pretty framed print or two. something soft and fresh to compliment our new white addition. i spotted these two prints and i’m thinking they’d look lovely.

nursery // color palette no. 1

lately, we’ve been thinking about what colors we would like to go with for the baby’s nursery. we’ve toyed around with pinks, salmons + yellows. and blush pinks + dark pinks. then we thought about pinks + whites, until we remembered that we registered for lots of organic items which meant creams would be in the mix, too.

then, i saw this image on jordan’s blog. it represents the latest color palette i picture in my head for the nursery. ballet pink. oyster. putty. chocolate. right now this is our front running color combo. this could all change tomorrow though!

Ode to Helvetica

cute prints by etsy seller modern pop. love the rich jewel tone colors.

wakefield chandelier

there’s always something in pottery barn that strikes my fancy. browsing the latest catalog, this chandelier caught my eye. wouldn’t it be the perfect place to gather + display festive holiday cards?

the butter flying

i was browsing etsy for baby mobiles and stumbled upon these cloud + rain mobiles from the butter flying. so sweet + puffy and i love the soft muted colors.

pretty flowers in pretty bottles

a handful of wildflowers and a few pretty bottles and you’ve got lovely + simple arrangements. love this.

hope you had a great weekend! i don’t know about you, but i loved the extra hour of sleep!

baby nursery

also on my mind now is nurseries. i remember a while back this beautiful nursery was all a buzz on the blogs. it took me a while to track it down, and i’m so happy i found it. it was featured on cookiemag.com, and i just love how sophisticated and sightly unexpected the room is. it’s now been stashed in my inspiration folder.

Inspiration // Craft Room

kacey’s mom has a good friend who is a very talented embroiderer, stitcher + quilter, and she’s working on creating a new workshop space for all of her threads, fabrics, supplies + machines. i thought i’d put together some of my favorite craft rooms + sewing spaces for her. if you click on each picture above, it will take you to the source and more pictures of that workspace.

do you have any sewing room resources? if so, please leave a link to them in the comments. thanks!
