pottery barn has several wire storage pieces that have caught my eye. i especially love this unique solution for the bathroom. and this letter sorter too.

remember those cute clocks i posted about a while back? well, if you fancied those, you’ll love these wooden mobiles i spotted.
miss emily arrived on a wednesday morning. the saturday prior we had just moved into our new home. needless to say, her nursery was not ready. kacey, my cousin and i spent the last two days setting it up in preparation for her newborn photos that we took this morning.
we’re really happy with how her nursery turned out, especially given how quickly we pulled it together!

think we picked up enough paint swatches for the office? before, we were considering robin’s nest and sea salt, but then we decided robin’s nest was too bright and sea salt too dreary. so, we narrowed it down to delicate mist [behr] and tropical surf [glidden]. both of us were leaning heavily on tropical surf. we got paint samples of both, and kacey painted a large swatch on foam core board. that’s when we realized tropical surf was way to dark and too blue. it wasn’t subtle enough. so now, i think we may be going with delicate mist instead. i’m so happy we painted a large area on foam core. it really allowed us to see the color. those swatches they provide are just too small!
these clocks are so cute! perfect for a nursery. or any room, really.
hope you had a great weekend! we spent ours printing + packing. why? because today we closed on our house! *happy dance*
pretty prints from etsy seller the wheatfield. “you are my sunshine” has always been a favorite song of mine, and i always imagined singing it to my little baby. hopefully, i’ll get that chance in a little over a month.
pretty nursery inspiration and design tips from serena & lily. using neutrals and mixing textures. incorporating vintage or thrifted pieces. such beautiful bedding + rooms!
we’ve been on the hunt for a rug to go underneath our dining room table. we’ve checked the usual places – pottery barn, west elm, crate and barrel, antropologie, etc. i spotted these trompe l’oeil floor mats while looking at urban outfitters. although not quite the look we’re going for, i think they’d look nifty in the right space. very farmhouse chic. especially with these tolix stools and wildflowers in pretty bottles sitting on the table.
