The new rollers for our second Pearl came in! We’re one step closer to getting it up and running. We’ve got two parts to get fabricated so that we can convert it from a motorized press to a pedal-operatedĀ one and feeder boards to make. That’s it!
So, we’re restoring our second new-to-us Pearl Press. If you recall, we’ve cleaned, stripped, sanded, primed and painted it with a gleaming coat of black paint. After doing so, we realized it was way too glossy, especially compared to our first Pearl Press. Knowing that they’d be side by side in our studio, we decided to repaint it with a semi-gloss paint. Kacey spent a few weekends repainting the press and this weekend we finally got it reassembled and in our studio! So exciting. We have a few more parts to source before it’s going to be fully up and running. We need to find or fab parts to convert it from a motor operated to a treadle operated press. We’re also going to be making new feeder boards. Plus, we’re waiting on new rollers, cores + trucks but they’re already ordered. Oh, we’re so, so close!
one – original / two – primed / three – gloss paint / four – semi-gloss paint

Another custom sketch moving announcement we recently worked on. These are so much fun to do!
After spotting the pink merci cards we printed for Em’s birthday party, Courtney recently contacted us about creating similar merci cards for a baby shower. We printed them in a soft blue ink + printed a matching return address on the back flap of the envelope. I love how they turned out.
In other news, a big merci to RealSimple.com forĀ featuring our custom sketch moving announcements. And, a big merci to Martha Stewart Weddings for showcasing our anniversary collection. We’re so, so thrilled!
I’d been on the search for a business card case for a long time. My business cards are slimmer + thicker than usual so I knew I wanted to go the custom route. I spotted these on Etsy and decided to approach Kim about doing something custom for me. I’m so, so pleased with how they turned out! Now my pretty little cards are nice, protected + ready to hand out!
PS – While working on this post today, I decided to search through my past posts because I remembered blogging about a business card case that I really liked some time back. Turns out, the exact cases I blogged about two years ago are these. How funny + kismet is that?!
