weekend organization

Hope you had a lovely weekend. Ours was filled with lots of organization as we reconfigured our studio. Thanks to last weekend’s trip to Ikea, we added new shelves, extra bookcases and a big, brand new desk. I’m loving the new space, and it’s already getting quite a workout since we’re busy working on a new letterpress collection. I can’t wait to show you guys!

And hello to you coming over from Coveiter! Welcome. I hope you find bits of inspiration here and enjoy your stay.

in the studio

Nothing like fresh flowers to spruce up the ole studio. I picked up these lovely fresh Tulips this afternoon at a local market.

Hope you’re having a good week! We’re definitely staying busy, and it feels wonderful.

beacon dish

While in Austin, it got much colder than either of us anticipated or packed for. So, we ended up making a quick stop in REI top pick up warmer clothes for our stay. Right next to REI was Antropologie, so I made a quick stop there, too. I’m so glad I did, because I walked out with this lovely dish. It has a rugged birch-like exterior and glossy soft-colored interior.

I had been on the lookout for a little ring holder for quite some time. And this is just perfect. Now, when I’m operating the press, my rings have a nice spot to hold tight and not get damaged.

peonies

Yesterday, we stopped by a local food market to pick up some fresh flowers for a little photoshoot in the studio. Amidst all the holly, poinsettias, amaryllis, wreaths and little rosemary trees, were these wonderful pale pink peonies!

They look like little scrumptious scoops of ice cream.

cotton twine

If you’re a twine lover like me, you’ll be happy to know that I just scored this cotton twine at Office Depot for half off. We’re talking $10 for 3000 feet. I didn’t even know they carried it, but while looking for packing tape I saw this on sale and snagged it.

fixing up the pearl

We spent the last week and a half stripping, sanding, priming and painting our beloved Pearl.
