j.crew maternity

jcrew maternity

I can hardly believe it! J.Crew is now offering maternity clothes! Back when I was eight months pregnant, my love for J.Crew really started. Being petite and pregnant, it was one of the few places that I could find clothes to fit. Back then I thought, wouldn’t it be great if they actually had a maternity line? Three years later, it’s here. Although it looks to be only pants now, I hope it’s going to bloom into a full line for baby bumps.

in the clouds

I was clearing out pics on my phone and came across a couple dozen beautiful cloud pictures that I took within the last week or so. I thought they were too pretty not to post!

This may seem a little strange. Especially for those of you who see clouds everyday. However, here in Austin, most days the skies are clear blue. Clouds are nearly as rare as the rain we get.

My favorite is the big rain cloud in the middle. What’s yours?

austin // la condesa + p. terry’s

We crossed off a couple of places from our Ultimate Austin List!

la condesa // austin, tx

First, we picked La Condesa to celebrate my cousin’s birthday. So very yummy.

p. terry's // austin, tx

Plus, P. Terry’s. Before moving to Austin, we actually went to their Barton Springs + South Lamar location. They recently opened a P. Terry’s in North Austin so we went to check it out. Good, cheap + quite possibly my favorite fries!

recent work // moving announcements – house no. 47

custom house sketch moving announcement // house no. 47

Since April, we’ve been working with a realtor in the Northwest. Our collaboration began after we completed custom house sketch moving announcements and a 5″ x 7″ print of the realtor’s own new home. Since then, we’ve illustrated several homes for her clients including this set of custom moving announcements.

We really enjoy drawing homes and seeing them come to life through letterpress printing. We are so thrilled with this collaboration and look forward to illustrating many new homes!

our ultimate austin list

our ultimate austin list

We live in Austin. Quirky, fun, beautiful Austin. There’s so much here that I finally decided to put together a list + keep track of things we want to eat, see and do. We’ve accomplished quite a few things as denoted by the double arrows. However, there’s lots more for us to cross off. This list is loosely categorized to meets our needs, and I expect this list to grow as we learn of new [to us] places.  I’ll come back to this post to edit + cross items off as we go.

So tell me. Do you have any suggestions for places we should add to our ultimate Austin list?

preschool 2013

first day of early preschool 2013

This happened yesterday. She’s been going two days a week since she was 16 months old. However, yesterday she moved up into what we had been calling the four year old class [which it's not, oops!]. She is very excited. Ah, this is all happening so quickly!

weekend recap // no.9

This weekend, we decided to take Em bowling for the first time! It was a lot of fun. But my has it changed since we were kids. I remember having inflatable bumpers. And if one person on your team needed bumpers, everyone got bumpers. Now, they automatically raise and lower so that only the person that wants them gets them. And how about that ramp? Makes it much easier for a three year old to bowl!

recent work // moving announcements – house no. 46

custom house sketch moving announcements // no. 46

As you can see, we’ve been quite busy sketching + letterpress printing beautiful homes! Here’s the latest one we’ve completed for custom moving announcements. Congratulations A + C on your lovely new home!

Oh, and PS – we’ve added our popular 5″ x 7″ custom house illustrations to our Etsy shop. You can find them here. And bonus! If you purchase a 5″ x 7″ print along with moving announcements, the house sketch fee is waved for the print. Contact us for details.
